Aaron Pierre Mini Biography

Aaron Pierre, a London-based graduate of the esteemed LAMDA, landed a major role as Mufasa in Barry Jenkins’ eagerly awaited Lion King prequel for Disney. He starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s film Old, where he played a rapper and composed and sang a song, and he also portrayed Caesar in Barry Jenkins’s critically acclaimed limited series The Underground Railroad for Amazon. For his professional theatrical debut at Shakespeare’s Globe as Cassio in Othello, starring Mark Rylance, Pierre was nominated for the 2018 Ian Charleson Award.

Aaron filmed a three-hander for Amazon Studios earlier this year, opposite Saoirse Ronan in Garth Davis’s Foe. He recently wrapped filming Rebel Ridge, Jeremy Saulnier’s Netflix feature. The next thing that Pierre appears as
