If you’re looking for a movie that’s equal parts laughs and chaos, The Pickup nails it. Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson as armored truck drivers already sounds wild, but throw in a high-stakes heist, and suddenly you’ve got a buddy comedy with explosions. The fun comes from how different they are. Murphy with his smooth, old-school timing and Pete bringing that awkward, new-age energy. Watching them roast each other while dodging bullets had me grinning the whole way.

If you’re into horror that feels old-school creepy but still fresh, The Home is one you’ll want to check out. It’s from the creator of The Purge, and the setup is instantly unsettling.Pete Davidson plays a guy doing community service at a retirement home where the residents aren’t exactly… normal. The tension builds slowly, the atmosphere is eerie, and I found myself leaning in with every scene, just waiting for something to snap.
What surprised me most was Pete. You’re used to him cracking jokes, but here he dials it down and proves he can carry real suspense with weight. I really didn’t expect him to pull that off!
And here’s the cool part: James DeMonaco actually wrote the script with Pete in mind, and they shot the whole thing in just 18 days— which adds to the film’s lean, tight and chilling feel.
If you grew up loving Dav Pilkey’s books or you just want a movie that’s silly in the best way, Dog Man is pure fun. The story follows a half-man, half-dog hero who’s out there fighting crime while also figuring out friendship and family. And trust me, the chaos is as hilarious on screen as it is on the page. It sounds wild, but watching Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson play it out makes the concept click— their chemistry feels messy, funny, and somehow real, even when the setup is totally bizarre.
What I liked is how it doesn’t just lean on the gimmick. Beneath the laughs, it pokes at what it really means to love someone, flaws included.

If you’re like me and sometimes get bored of cookie-cutter superhero movies,The Suicide Squad is the wild shake-up you need. James Gunn doesn’t hold back. He throws DC’s anti-heroes into a bloody, chaotic, and surprisingly heartfelt ride that had me grinning the whole way. You’ll feel the energy buzzing from the start, and with such a massive cast, there’s always someone grabbing your attention.
Pete Davidson doesn’t stick around long, but his role as Blackguard is exactly the kind of cameo you remember. He plays him as cowardly, clueless, and funny in the most Pete Davidson way possible, and it works.
here’s a fun detail: most of the gore was practical effects, not CGI— plus Gunn’s brother Sean suited up in mo-cap to bring Weasel to life.

The King of Staten Island doesn’t feel like your usual comedy. It feels more like Pete Davidson letting you peek into his life. The story pulls from his real past, with his dad being a firefighter who died in the line of duty, and you can sense how personal it is. If you want a coming-of-age story that really hits the right spot, Big Time Adolescence is one to watch. It’s about Monroe, a high school kid who idolizes his best friend Zeke— Pete Davidson playing a dropout who’s funny, reckless, and somehow still the guy everyone wants to be around. Their friendship is hilarious, awkward, and honestly a little painful (at least it was for me), because you can see how much trouble Zeke is pulling him into.
Pete shines here. He nails the whole man-child vibe but also gives Zeke just enough heart that you get why Monroe sticks by him. It feels less like a polished teen movie and more like something you’ve actually lived through.

Bupkis is Pete Davidson doing what only Pete can, that is, turning his own life into a messy mix of jokes and chaos. He’s basically playing himself, just dialed up, and it swings from absurd comedy to these family moments that feel way too real. You’ll laugh at the dumb stuff, then suddenly catch yourself thinking about how heavy it actually gets.
What surprised me most was how good the people around him are. Edie Falco as his mom and Joe Pesci as his grandpa give the show heart in a way I didn’t see coming.
And here’s a detail I loved: Bupkis means “nothing” in Yiddish, something Pete’s real grandfather used to say. Oh, and yeah, this is Pesci’s first TV role in over 20 years.

Bodies Bodies Bodies feels like a slasher made for the group chat generation. A bunch of friends are stuck in a mansion during a hurricane, and the night spirals out of control fast. Sure, there’s a killer in the mix, but half the time it’s the petty fights and drama that had me glued.
What I liked is how it mixes horror with that sharp Gen Z humor. You’ll laugh, then suddenly feel the tension kick back in, and it’s all driven by how these characters tear each other apart. The cast sells every meltdown, every side-eye.
Some Trivia for you: they shot almost the entire thing in one actual mansion in upstate New York, which is why it feels so tight and claustrophobic on screen.

The Freak Brothers is like a stoner comedy time machine— three hippies from the ’60s wake up in the 2020s after a 50-year magical nap, and watching them try to figure out our world is half the fun. Everything they once rebelled against is now legal and sold in shiny packaging, and their reactions to it had me laughing out loud.
The humor is outrageous but sharp, and the cast makes it even better. You’ve got Woody Harrelson and John Goodman as the old-school voices, while Pete Davidson and Tiffany Haddish bring the modern edge. It’s a weird mix that somehow works.
